Well, fall is here. P and I's 4 year anniversary has been gone now for some time (NO we are not engaged yet, stop asking), the temperature has dropped to an amazing 60-degrees, and the leaves have finally peaked this weekend. I LOVE fall!
With the seasons' change, not much else has changed. We still go about our daily lives, floating around endlessly working (or in P's case, studying), running errands, running in general, playing with the cats, reading, knitting, the usual.
Outside of the usual, I think that we have finally settled into a comfortable spot where we are both equally happy and... I am not sure "comfortable" is the right way to describe it, but we have reached a point where we know that no matter what, we are going to be there for each other.
No matter how much I fart or how much he burbs, we will be there. No matter what our monetary circumstances, beliefs, or actions, we will still be there. This is a good feeling.
Due to recent events, I have put a lot of thought into what it is exactly that makes us work so well together and I think that I have finally come to a sort of conclusion.
Mutual respect.
I fart or walk directly into a wall for no reason, he still respects me. He burps or leaves the cupboard doors open, I still respect him
There you go. The secret to our happy relationship.
Fall comes and the world around you changes, yet some things remain constant.
Now that I have been as "deep" as a lazy Saturday will allow me, let me just say how excited I am to carve a pumpkin and roast the seeds.
Bring it on, fall, I am ready for more.
