The Morning

This morning, as usual, I walked the mile and a quarter to work. I love my walk to work. It is quiet and peaceful, there is no traffic (sorta), and it is cool and misty. Today it was raining. Not a big deal, I just grabbed my huge umbrella with the Mona Lisa on it and went out the door.

When I get to campus, I have to cross a little wooden bridge over a creek. In the creek lives a muskrat. Some mornings I see the muskrat. Other mornings, I don't. Depends on his mood I guess.

This morning, he was in the mood for a huge apple. Thats right. An apple. I saw him in the tall, unkempt grass trying to carry a huge apple in his mouth as he trundled his way back to his creek-home.

Ridiculous.

It got sillier as he spotted me and stopped. Like I could not see a muskrat with an apple in its mouth if he wasnt moving. Good grief.

Ahhh... mornings. Today muskrats, tomorrow, who knows?
